When I first assembled my pack earlier this weekend it was 18 pounds. After lots of negotiating and some swift cuts I am slightly below 12 pounds. I have reduced the contents of my pack to 11.8 pounds (including the weight of my bag).  It&#8217;s go time!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When I return I will take another picture with all the contents. I imagine I will grab some mementos along the way and have tons of opinions of items I didn&#8217;t need to bring and items I wish I had.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Next stop: Osaka!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Less than 12 hours until I depart.
