Graffiti Pier

A few months ago, I asked my friend Mike if he was interested in joining me for a weekend with just one goal: take pictures with zero distractions. No work and no kids—just taking our time capturing amazing pictures. Mike and I have been friends for a long time and I learn a ton about photography every time I hang out with him.

This morning we journeyed out to the Graffiti Pier in Philadelphia, the remains of a coal-loading dock owned and subsequently abandoned by Conrail in the 90’s, it is now the home of a huge collection of graffiti art and one of the most instagrammed spots in Philadelphia.

We got to the site around 8:00 AM and was fortunate to have overcast skies creating a consistent light, and a completely empty location giving us tons of time to shoot by ourselves.

Below are some of my favorite pictures from the Graffiti Pier.
