Outside the town of Oświęcim, Poland, about 50 km from Krakow sits KL Auschwitz: the largest of the German Nazi concentration camps and extermination centers from World War II. Over 1.1 million men, women and children lost their lives here.
This UNESCO World Heritage site is one of the places in the world that I have wanted to visit for a long time. Words, photos, and videos cannot replicate the feeling of being there. Still, I am sharing these photos that I took of this visit so we never forget.
