Half the length, double the heart

haircut
My daughter chopped off 10 inches of her hair today.

For the last 3 and 1/2 years my beautiful little girl (okay she’s not so little anymore but she’s still MY little girl) has resisted cutting her ever-growing hair (outside of a touch up trim to take care of split ends.)

It wasn’t easy. While I always felt her hair was super gorgeous, none of that mattered when she complained about her hair in her face playing soccer, or the endless knots she had to brush out, or how long it took to dry.

But she stayed focus on her goal: get her hair long enough to donate. And that’s what she did today. (This was her second time donating by the way)

And now that she cut it (and she looks wicked adorable by the way) her first statement was “This is something I feel very strong about and I want to do it as many times as I possibly can.”

So proud of my little girl.

There are a bunch of programs that accept hair donations. My daughter and wife (who has also donated before and his currently growing out to donate again) participate in the Pantene Beautiful Lengths program. To learn more about this program click here.
