This Memorial Day weekend, my family and I went on our latest National Park adventure! If you recall, we have been planning our family trip since the beginning of the year. A month ago I published our tentative itinerary. We quickly realized, however, we needed to make some tweaks to it. More on that in future posts. While I continue to write my recaps of the National Park units we visited, enjoy this short video I created. In it, you will see footage from the 5 National Park units we visited this weekend:
– Shenandoah National Park
– Antietam National Battlefield
– Chesapeake & Ohio Canal NHP
– Harpers Ferry NHP
– Manassas National Battlefield
Why I am in love with this footage and song
When editing this video I immediately thought about this song, “Just Breathe” from Pearl Jam. This video I took perfectly captured the feeling I had going on long hikes…in beautiful weather…with my family. My favorite line from the song is:
To count on both hands
The ones I love
Some folks just have one
Yeah others they got none
I love going on National Park adventures with my family. We had a blast this holiday weekend! Read more about the National Park units we visited!
